Back and ready for the warmth of summer, Lily is our smooth and fruity cream ale. Flavors of orange and raspberry give this beer a distinct sweetness, and some have compared the taste to that of an orange dreamsicle. A soft finish rounds out this refreshing fruit ale made for the long days and warm nights of summer.

Lily is a treat on its own, but its sweet character also makes this beer a great base for fruity cocktails. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a few well-crafted recipes to spice up your glass! Whether looking for the perfect drink to top off your barbecue spread or in the mood to try something new after a day in the sun, these Lily cocktails do not disappoint.

The Rummy

The Rummy is light, refreshing, and easy to drink. The grapefruit flavor of the soda mixes perfectly with Lily’s fruity character and is topped off with a light fizz.

In a 16oz glass combine:

  • ¾ Lily Ale
  • ¼ Excel Brewing Company Grapefruit Soda
  • Shot of gin
  • Garnish with an orange slice

Lilymosa

This malty twist on a mimosa accentuates Lily’s citrus flavor. Raspberries add just the right amount of sweet with a slight kick to top it all off.

In a 16oz glass combine:

  • One can of Lily Ale
  • Orange juice
  • Shot of vodka (we prefer Dogmaster Distillery Vodka)
  • Muddled raspberry
  • Pour over ice

Lily at Sunrise

The grenadine gives this cocktail a deep orange color reminiscent of, you guessed it, a sunrise. Lily at Sunrise is fizzy with a slight tartness.

In a 16oz glass combine:

  • ¾ of Lily Ale
  • Shot of London dry gin
  • 3-4 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 1.5 Tbsp grenadine
  • Garnish with a cherry and orange slice
